Volunteer Appreciation Dinner- We hit the jackpot with our volunteers!

Last week was Volunteer Appreciation Week at the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and we hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner for our organization of over 90 volunteers!! Our volunteers donated roughly $302,195.10 worth of time to the citizens of San Juan County by volunteering with our office in 2017. We hit the jackpot with the group of volunteers we had in 2017 and we hope they all return for more this year! We have a phenomenal non profit board called the SJCSO Foundation that donates a massive amount of time to ensure our volunteer programs are properly funded. We also have a wonderful Reserve Deputy Program that allows our Patrol shifts to have ‘2 man’ units on busy nights in such a large county. Our volunteers donate time to many different divisions in our office and we appreciate each one of them. Thank you to each of our volunteers and community partners for making the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office a better place!
